Responsibilities for the Business Analyst (JULIE Act Specialist) include but are not limited to:
Investigate dig in that result in damage to ComEd facilities using the Illinois Underground Utility Facilities Damage Prevention Act. (JULIE law) as a guide.
Respond to and coordinate the investigation of major incidents (explosions, fires, and electrocutions) including significant company damage events.
Meet with customers/claimants, witnesses, etc. to obtain facts of incidents.
Evaluate damages and make a liability determination.
Understanding the law, deductive reasoning and a commonsense approach to construction and locating activities are needed when making an at fault determination.
Facilitate open communication between ComEd, locate contractors and excavators to minimize damage to ComEd facilities.
Document investigations in a manner, which will assist claims in collecting on the cost to repair ComEd facilities.
Act as Company Representative in depositions and litigations. Provide educational services to internal and external constituencies.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
1-5 years of related experience
Locating experience
Excavation knowledge or experience
Understanding of the Illinois Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act.
A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
Investigative/root cause analysis
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Pay Details:
$47.00 per hour
