About Us Black Swan Hearth & Gift specializes in fireplaces, stoves, fireplace inserts, and related home décor. With two retail showrooms, we’re passionate about helping customers find the perfect hearth solution for their home, from cozy wood stoves to sleek modern gas fireplaces, and backing it up with expert in-house installation and service.

Job Summary We are seeking a personable, motivated Sales Associate to join our Black Swan team! In this role, you will help customers select hearth products that match their style, heating needs, and home setup, ensuring they have an outstanding showroom experience from the first hello to the final handshake. The ideal candidate will have previous experience using CRM software and sales experience with home-related products.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet customers in the showroom and assist with their questions

Answer phone and email sales inquiries in a timely, professional manner

Assess customer needs and recommend products based on heat output, design, and installation feasibility

Suggest complementary accessories, maintenance packages, and upgrades

Drive sales by participating in promotions and company initiatives

Maintain strong product knowledge across all Black Swan offerings

Use CRM software to track leads, sales, and follow-ups to build long-term relationships

Collaborate with the installation and service teams to ensure a smooth customer experience

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous retail sales or home improvement product sales experience preferred

Strong communication skills — in person, over the phone, and via email

Understanding of sales techniques and commitment to top-notch customer service

Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and CRM software

Team player who can also work independently and stay organized

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays (we are closed Sundays)
