Responsibilities
Processing of samples for dimensional and/or metallurgical testing as follows: Forging metallurgical inspection
Forging dimensional inspection
Machining dimensional inspection
Final Audit Inspection (Forging and Machining) Data entry (Final Audit, etc.) Ensure accurate documentation completion as required Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment Optimally communicates with Manufacturing as required regarding inspection results Optimally communicates within the QA department Assists with G.R&R studies and density maps Provides support to Manufacturing, and other departments as requested. As directed by the Quality Group Leader or Quality Manager Required Skills and Education
Qualification Requirements
High School Diploma or its equivalent experience Experience
Solid understanding of Windows PC with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) Basic GD&T knowledge Measuring devices (CMM, optical comparator, other handheld measuring devices) Basic metallurgy Required Proficiencies
ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 Awareness 5S Basic Measuring Final audit inspection (CMM operation, weight inspection, hardness, etc.) Machining process inspections (Optical comparator, contracer, CMM, cleanliness, surf test, weight, etc.) Metallurgical knowledge & analysis Metallurgical sample preparation, analysis, & interpretation (cut-off saw, sander, mount press, etching, lube concentration, scale operation, density, data entry, hardness, Metallograph, etc.) Orientation Quality & Environmental Management Systems Safety Key Proficiencies
