Overview:
We're seeking a reliable and safety-conscious
Maintenance Technician I
to support our facility's day-to-day operations and general maintenance tasks. This role plays a key part in keeping our building systems clean, functional, and safe. You'll work closely with the Chief Engineer and other team members on maintenance, cleaning, and repair assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general repairs (e.g., toilets, registers, drains, blinds, light fixtures)
Conduct cleaning and touch-up painting in mechanical rooms and equipment areas
Replace air filters, ceiling tiles, and fire extinguishers
Use various tools (vacuum, mop, steam cleaner, drills, etc.) for maintenance tasks
Assist with logistics, supply handling, and material movement
Follow safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
Support the engineering team with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school a plus)
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or general labor experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, work in enclosed spaces, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Comfortable using basic tools and equipment
Team-oriented and safety-focused
Work Setting:
On-site
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Overtime:
Scheduled Sundays for A/C equipment preventive maintenance
Salary Range:
Up to $20.50/hour, based on experience
