This position is for a shift leader at Blaze Pizza in Scarborough, ME. Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment? Blaze Pizza in Scarborough, ME, is looking for a dedicated Shift Leader to join our team. The Shift Leader is responsible and accountable for all operational activities during their shift. The Shift Leader's behaviors and decisions are expected to be consistent with and supportive of the restaurant’s business plan and values. The Shift Leader ensures all Crew Members on shift are performing their job responsibilities and meeting the expectations set forth in their job description. Help us build a unique dining experience by encouraging guests to blaze their own way and create exceptional Fast-Fire'd pizzas, while also upholding premier cleanliness and food safety standards. We are currently hiring seasonal part-time positions. Responsibilities:
In addition to the Crew Member responsibilities, the Shift Leader is also expected to:
• Maintain proper personnel levels, labor costs, and productivity during the work shift. • Prepare the deployment chart and break assignments. • Lead and perform opening/closing duties. • Utilize approved Blaze training programs to train skills, duties, and responsibilities focused on achieving team goals. • Demonstrate good working knowledge of all equipment. • Assist the GM and Assistant GM with the execution of all company-wide standards. • Provide an enthusiastic and positive leadership mentality committed to achieving company objectives. • Create a team atmosphere that establishes an environment of trust to ensure honest, open, and direct communication. • Follow all Company guidelines for food handling and money management to maintain and minimize restaurant costs. • Set the example by showing a sense of urgency and hustle throughout the shift. • Provide effective coaching, counseling, or discipline as required by Blaze guidelines while maintaining proper documentation. • Practice equal opportunity employment, non-discrimination, and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance. • Ensure all labor laws (federal, state, and local) are followed. Qualifications: • Be a minimum of 21 years of age. • Have reliable personal transportation to work. • Have a phone or other reliable method of communicating with the restaurant, employees, and upper management. • Possesses good verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating effectively with upper management, guests, and co-workers; bilingual skills are a plus. • Completely certified on all stations using the Blaze Training Program.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Able to stand, walk, and work for extended periods of time. • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers, outdoors, etc.). • Able to lift 50-75 lbs. comfortably. • Able to work around others in close quarters. • Proper use of tools and equipment, which may include but are not limited to knives, personal protective equipment, carts, ovens, dough presses, power equipment, and all other equipment used within or for the restaurant. Compensation: $20 hourly plus tips
