Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator Specialist

Maximus is on the lookout for a talented Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator Specialist. In this crucial role, you will manage AWS workloads, ensuring that system deployment, security, and compliance are effectively maintained. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and optimizing cloud operations to uphold the performance and integrity of Department of Defense (DoD) systems. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and manage AWS workloads with special attention to security and compliance. Utilize AWS Console and CLI to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot systems efficiently. Support development teams in system administration on AWS and Kubernetes. Adhere to best practices as outlined by the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Minimum Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. At least 10 years of experience in systems administration for both Linux and Windows platforms. Proven experience in administering AWS workloads, including Amazon EKS, and supporting development and testing teams. IAT Level II certifications are required. Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training, with 2 years of hands-on experience in containerized environments. Completion of 3 of the following certifications or trainings (4 years of experience may substitute each certification): AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational) AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Preferred Skills and Qualifications: AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) certification. CompTIA Security+ certification. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; a degree may substitute for two years of experience, and a master’s degree may substitute for an additional two years. This full-time position is located in San Antonio, TX, and offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually, contingent on experience and role specifics.
