$33.82 - $50.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: As a Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing psychiatric patients in collaboration with emergency department staff. Your expertise will guide recommendations for patient disposition and you will work independently as a licensed behavioral health clinician. Responsibilities: Conduct timely and quality assessments, providing interventions and recommendations that align with diagnostic standards and state regulations. Offer safe and clinically appropriate recommendations for patient disposition, which may include higher-level psychiatric placements or safety planning. Serve as the primary communication bridge between patients, their families, emergency department staff, physicians, and community providers. Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment while working with minimal supervision. Demonstrate proficiency in DSM diagnostic criteria and comprehensive treatment planning. Conduct evidence-based suicide risk assessments and develop safety plans. Exhibit professionalism in clinical practice, conflict resolution, and critical thinking. Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. State licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD), or other approved licensure/certification.
