Job Summary:

This position will directly impact the history of cable management systems and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable product design, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution. Join us in developing the next generation of cable management and protection products! As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will provide Occupational Health and Safety - North America (OHS) support for various manufacturing systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of EHS implementation and compliance programs including but not limited to: OSHA General Industry and Construction standards, hazardous materials, ergonomics, compressed gases, confined space, lasers, robotics, fall protection, PPE, hazard communication, crane safety, lockout/tagout, and radiation safety. You must have a passion for continuous improvement of a safety culture, building agile safety processes, and for solving complex problems and providing operable solutions, and be capable of acting with minimal direction on your initiative. You will be responsible for helping to maintain a culture that emphasizes accountability, discipline, and attention to detail at all levels."

Essential Functions:

Facilitate the health and safety Management of Change (MOC) process. (Evaluate potential hazards and risks for new or change of chemicals, equipment, tools, part designs, building design, work stations, manufacturing processes, etc.)

Facilitates international and external ISO 45001 audits and inspections. Track OFI's or Non-conformities corrective actions to closure.

Responsible for Industrial Hygiene evaluations, analysis, and controls. (i.e., Industrial toxicology evaluations, ergonomic assessments, noise survey & dosimetry, air sampling, chemical exposure & PPE assessments, radiation exposure, new chemical evaluations, etc.)

Conducts Job Hazard and Job Risk Analysis.

Develop and administer health and safety-related training.

Documents and Evaluate contractor/vendor EHS approval process and training.

Conduct routine facility inspections (i.e., emergency egress, electrical, machine guarding, chemical, working walking surfaces, etc.) to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.

Conduct health and safety compliance audits, inspections, and evaluations. Track and monitor gaps to closure.

Serve as the subject matter expert of HellermannTyton's safety management software (OIMS).

Other Functions:

Provide administrative support to the EHS department

Complete other projects/duties as assigned

Travel includes 3 locations that are within 3 miles and periodic travel to a distribution center in Romeoville, IL.

Key Competencies:

Candidates must have strong self-motivation and time management skills

Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Working knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Local Regulations related to environmental

Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Computer literate in Word, Exce,l and PowerPoint

Ability to build rapport and work with a diverse group of employees at all levels of the organization, and provide excellent customer service to our internal customers

Ability to be flexible with respect to work schedule as needed (site is a 24-hour operation)

Ability to manage and develop solid standard work practices

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience):

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, and proven industry-specific EHS experience in aerospace manufacturing, chemical/delivery systems, or industrial manufacturing setting or similar; relevant certifications will be considered to support years of experience required

Minimum of 5 years' experience leading EHS programs.

3 years of experience leading ISO 45001 Audits.

Strong communication, engagement, and excellent interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Process Safety Management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems

Analytical, leadership, project planning, program development, and deployment skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Ability to work non-standard hours as needed to meet the needs of our internal customers

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance
