The Opportunity
This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center is one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Outpatient sessions at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital (MSCH) and a new Westchester site. Inpatient service in rotation (up to 4 weeks per year).
Supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, clinical fellows.
Participation in weekly clinical and research conferences as schedule permits.
Additional responsibilities subject to Chief's directive.
Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License.
Must be Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines;
The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and
The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.
