Worthington Steel is looking to add a Production Associate to our team. The Production Associate performs a combination of production tasks which may include, but not limited to, loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, removing parts and waste, adjusting and operating machinery. This role also assists the Operator with job duties. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, problem solver who has a strong work ethic to improve quality and production levels of systems and equipment.

New minimum starting pay: $20/hour + $1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift and $0.75 for 3rd shift

Responsibilities

Set up machines and perform daily tasks to ensure safe and quality production

Package, weigh, and load/unload material, and stage material

Strong work ethic and desire to perform duties to the highest standard

Desired Experience

Physical, repetitive work; able to lift up to 50 pounds

Good hand-eye coordination

Mechanical aptitude is a plus

Basic math and computer skills

Ability to operate banding tools and read a tape measure

Handle small parts and follow quality policies

Recognize and detect quality issues

Read and comprehend detailed instructions in English

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Good oral and written communication skills

Manufacturing or construction experience

Required OSHA safety training

Shifts available:

2nd shift:

3 PM to 11 PM

3rd shift:

11 PM to 7 AM

We will try to accommodate your preferred shift, but flexibility is needed for business needs. We will work with you if schedule adjustments are necessary.
