Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities Field - Lead onion pre-breeding and breeding research to generate segregating populations. Subsequently identify promising center rot resistance lines that are adapted in short-day environment.
Percentage of time 50
Duties/Responsibilities Greenhouse - Lead disease screening against center rot. Assist the internal collaborators with genome edited mutants screening against center rot.
Percentage of time 10
Duties/Responsibilities Laboratory - Assist in post-harvest bulb quality analysis, lead marker assisted selection, and genomic selection activities related to QTL mapping.
Percentage of time 15
Duties/Responsibilities Prepare peer-reviewed publications, participate in grant proposal preparation, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and seasonal workers research activities in lab, greenhouse, and field set up.
Percentage of time 15
Duties/Responsibilities Assigned tasks in other related vegetable breeding projects.
