LHH is currently partnering with an organization in the Washington, DC area to hire a Registration & Events Specialist. This is a long-term temporary role running through the end of 2025, with the potential for extension. The position offers hybrid flexibility—3 days onsite and 2 days remote—and pays $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience. The Events & Programs Department is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of professional events. Within this department, the Event Operations Division oversees attendee registration and customer care. As a Registration & Events Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for event attendees. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive attendee experience by providing exceptional customer service, responding to phone and email inquiries, and resolving any registration-related issues.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service Serve as the first line of contact for attendee inquiries via phone and email. Address questions, resolve concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate. Follow established communication procedures with minimal oversight. Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. Investigate attendee issues using available tools and resources to provide timely resolutions. Administrative Support Assist with various administrative tasks, including inventory tracking, supply coordination, and shipping logistics for the team. Support the day-to-day functions of the registration and customer care operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years of events experience Demonstrated experience in a professional setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle conflict and problem-solve with empathy and tact. Familiarity with helpdesk software, CRM tools, and customer support systems. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently. A positive, solution-oriented attitude with a customer-first mindset.
