Job Title: Network Administrator - Firewall Focus (Palo Alto)

Position summary: • Performs and/or monitors the work of others in configuring, maintaining and monitoring network and converged voice hardware and software, including switchers, routers/gateways and firewalls and performing network/voice management functions to facilitate efficient and effective use of system resources. Responsible for network address assignment, routing protocols and routing table configuration and configuration of authentication and authorization directory services. Maintains network facilities. May maintain certain network/voice servers, file servers, VPN gateways and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Knowledge of: • Administration and maintenance of network operating systems and applications • Network architecture, design, integration and protocols including TCP/IP/EIGRP/OSPF/STP and bridging. • Voice architecture, design, integration and protocols including UDP/RTP/RTCP • Network/Voice performance and monitoring tools. • Data storage and communications. • Networked/distributed computing environments. • Operating system commands and utilities.
