In this role, you’ll take ownership of identifying needs before they arise, acting quickly to address challenges, and finding opportunities to improve processes that benefit our Team Members. You’ll be trusted to work independently while building strong partnerships with HR leaders, managers, and external vendors. From navigating leave and workers’ compensation processes to driving improvements in safety and administration systems, you’ll combine service-minded care with the confidence to take initiative, the curiosity to explore innovative solutions, and the follow-through to make them happen. How You'll Lead the Way: As Brio Living Services’ Leaves and Workers’ Compensation Administrator, you’ll take ownership of our leave and workplace injury management programs - ensuring a smooth, service-focused experience for Team Members while safeguarding compliance with federal, state (Michigan), and local regulations. You’ll bring proactive oversight, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement. What You’ll Do Be the go-to expert

for all leave and workers’ compensation matters, offering clear, empathetic guidance to Team Members and managers on leave options, eligibility, documentation, return-to-work transitions, and workplace safety protocols. Administer leave programs

including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, military and birth-related leave, and company-sponsored leaves from start to finish - tracking cases, coordinating with managers, medical providers, and third-party administrators, and keeping all stakeholders informed. Manage workers’ compensation claims

across all Brio locations, from incident reporting to resolution, partnering with internal leaders, external vendors, and safety committees to ensure effective injury prevention, investigation, and follow-up. Maintain compliance and accuracy

by ensuring all leave and injury management processes meet applicable laws and organizational policies, accurately recording case details in our HRIS, and preparing timely reports to inform decision-making. Drive safety and prevention efforts

by collaborating with safety committees and champions, supporting injury prevention initiatives, and promoting workplace safety awareness. Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure all leave and workers’ compensation processes meet applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Maintain accurate case records, prepare and submit required reports (e.g., OSHA, leave utilization, workers’ comp/workplace injury activity) on time, and stay current on regulatory changes to keep Brio in full compliance. Partner for process improvement

by working with HR leadership, business partners, and vendors to implement and optimize leave administration systems, streamline workflows, and enhance the Team Member experience. Foster a collaborative culture

by building positive relationships across departments, actively participating in cross-functional initiatives, and promoting Brio’s mission and values in every interaction. Demonstrate integrity, self-awareness, adaptability, and commitment to personal and professional growth. What Sets You Apart: Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in leave of absence and workers' compensation administration Solid understanding of Human Resources practices and laws including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, OSHA, ESTA, applicable state leave laws, and workers' compensation Experience managing OSHA reporting Experience managing Workers’ Compensation claims Effective communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities Initiative-taking critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion, empathy, and respect, ensuring team members feel supported throughout the process Proficiency with HR Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) Preferred: 5+ Years of experience in leave administration, workers' compensation, and HR Compliance Experience supporting multi-state HR operations.
