Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today! Scope Boise Cascade Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights that drive business decisions and fulfill regulatory requirements. In this role you will be exposed to all facets of regulatory affairs including vendor and supplier management, environmental compliance, climate-related reporting, ethics, and data privacy. Experience in Power BI, SQL, and SaaS applications and solutions is essential, as you will be responsible for creating dynamic dashboards and reports to support various regulatory initiatives. Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis- Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Data Visualization- Using tools such as Power BI and/or Excel to create compelling visualizations to communicate data findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders. Data Integrity- Ensure data accuracy and reliability by validating and auditing data sources regularly. Regulatory Analysis – Interpret regulatory requirements to meet compliance needs by analyzing data into business solutions and requirements. Reporting – Prepare and assist in developing reports that align with internal stakeholder and business needs. Critical Thinking – Use and apply analytical resources and thinking to understand challenging data structures, reporting needs, and evolving regulatory landscapes to meet business expectations and strategies. Collaboration- Work closely with business units, IT teams, and management to understand data needs and align analytics solutions with organizational goals. Performance Tracking- Monitor and measure business performance through data analysis and reporting, providing recommendations for optimization. Documentation- Document processes, methodologies, and analytical findings for reference and business continuity. Communication - Communicate the results of data analysis in a manner that's easy for the business to interpret important metrics. Commitment - Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Experience- A minimum of 2 years in a business analyst, data analyst, or report-writing analyst role. Technical Skills- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with database structures, data modeling, and report/dashboard creation. Analytical Skills- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. Attention to Detail- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in environmental compliance, climate-related reporting, and/or third-party oversight is a plus. Certifications in Power BI or other analytical tools.
