Document Control Specialist Responsibilities Support engineering documentation processes, including preparation and submittal of technical documents, proposals, invoices, and reports. Maintain accurate distribution records, file systems, and correspondence logs for both hard copy and digital documentation. Coordinate drawing and documentation workflows, including organizing, archiving, printing, and distributing AutoCAD files. Perform various administrative tasks such as travel planning, inventory management, and interdepartmental coordination. Execute special assignments and assist with continuous improvements to document control practices as requested by leadership.
Document Control Specialist Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, with at least 2 years of office experience, preferably in engineering or design environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Primavera P3. Strong grammar, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects under pressure. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain structured filing systems. Experience handling office equipment, customer interactions, and coordinating with technical staff on documentation needs.
