- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified, trauma level 2, and PEDs level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 12 patients per shift. The position involves working closely with two neurosurgeons to provide support for clinic, call, and surgical needs, with a requirement for recent neurosurgery experience including surgical cases. The role includes managing clinic patients per day Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional 12-hour shifts available. Call coverage follows a 1:3 rotation for weekdays and weekends with a 20-minute beeper response time. Procedures include craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries. Responsibilities encompass surgical first assist, bedside procedures, independent rounding in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, pediatrics, ICU, and general med/surg floors, as well as hospital and ER/urgent care consults. Clinic duties involve outpatient consultations, post-operative and post-hospital patient care, fracture care, handling patient phone calls, processing medication refills, and completing FMLA documentation.
