Sales
Business Development Center (BDC) Representative
answers incoming telephone calls and greets visitors in a friendly, interested, and helpful manner. He or she receives, processes, and coordinates all incoming sales inquiries, showroom floor requests, and internet queries. In addition, he or she performs clerical and administrative duties for the Sales department. The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education or training, previous experience in a similar position (administrative, clerical, call center, customer service, etc.), and a working knowledge of automotive sales. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. No Experience required (sales experience preferred). 3-6 months of previous professional experience with over-the-phone customer service or sales (Inside Sales, Telemarketing, etc.) is a PLUS! Automotive experience is a PLUS! Bilingual abilities are a PLUS! Must be able to work nights and weekends. Must be engaging, inquisitive, curious, with a non-aggressive, helpful attitude. Internet Sales experience is a PLUS! Excellent writing and typing skills. Must have the drive, passion, and confidence to succeed. A desire and ability to work in a performance and process-driven environment. Excellent customer satisfaction skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Follow up with customers indicating purchasing interest through our website. Follow up with prospective customers via email and voicemail. Support online customers by setting appointments. Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and enhances customer satisfaction. Continuously learn about product updates, features, accessories, inventory, and their benefits to the customer. Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and be devoted to guaranteeing it. Establish personal goals aligned with the dealership’s standards of productivity and devise strategies to meet those goals. Handle all inbound sales calls and coordinate schedules of salespeople and appointments. Become an expert and gain in-depth knowledge of vehicles and technology. Follow up with existing customers to confirm satisfaction and generate leads. Provide sales management with completion reports. Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required. Follow all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions. Seniority level
