The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in maternal care, with experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing. This position is critical in providing families with quality care during one of the most important moments of their lives. Position Details: - Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36- Contract Duration: 91 Weeks- Number of Openings: 2- Location: Southern New Mexico Responsibilities: - Provide care for patients during labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and managing labor progression.- Assist with postpartum care for mothers and newborns, advocating for a family-centered approach where mother and baby are cared for together.- Perform nursing tasks related to C-sections, postpartum tubal ligations, and D&Cs as necessary.- Manage and respond promptly to complications such as hemorrhage, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, participating actively in care discussions and plans. Requirements: - Education: ADN or BSN- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor Delivery/Postpartum settings.- Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, ACLS- Skills: Experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Proficient in managing labor and delivery procedures and equipped with the ability to handle emergencies effectively.- Personality Fit: Must be adaptable, a team player, and have a positive attitude.
