The nurse-to-patient ratios are maintained according to hospital guidelines. The respiratory therapy unit contains 147 beds. We have available equipment including 840, 980, V60, Vapotherm, and Epoc. The documentation system used is Meditech. Staff is required to work from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend. There is a floating policy in place. The unit has a strong focus on patient experience and quality of care. All staff must adhere to uniform guidelines, wearing galaxy blue scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are available for review. The department prides itself on its supportive culture. Most therapists have extensive experience and are eager to mentor others.
