POSITION SUMMARY:

Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is responsible for building relationships with clients; calling on current Birkey’s customers and developing new customers by making sales calls to offices, shops, and job site locations within their assigned territory. The PSSR will also provide on-site training for store staff and customers as needed. They will perform follow-up activities required for new equipment sales and manufacturer end-user direct sales, quote and sell for the parts and service department and Preventative Maintenance (PM) contracts, address customer concerns, furnish technical support where applicable, and collect profiling information to enhance customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Customer Relationship Management:  Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and by promoting a positive company image. You will be responsible for selling the company's parts, service, and preventative maintenance plans, as well as resolving any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • n
  • Sales and Promotion:  Actively promote and sell parts and services, including preventative maintenance specials, to customers. You will also work closely with the sales team to assist with field demonstrations and generate new leads for products and services.

  • Administrative and Reporting:  Submit timely reports, including call reports and lost sales reports, to the management team. You will also ensure all sales-related documents are accurate and complete and follow up with customers after major purchases to guarantee satisfaction.

  • Market and Product Knowledge:  Continuously update your knowledge of the company’s products, services, and special programs. You will stay informed about competitor activities and products and maintain a working knowledge of used equipment to assist with trade-in evaluations.

  • Professional Development:  Maintain current product manuals, price lists, and other documents. Attend company, store, and community functions to benefit the dealership, and set and track daily, weekly, and annual sales goals.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of all company finance plans.

    • Present sales leads for goods and services to the Store Manager and relevant department managers.
    • n
    • Follow up on all leads to ensure a satisfactory customer experience.
    • n
    • Conduct post-sale follow-ups with customers who have made large purchases to confirm their complete satisfaction.

    • Establish and track daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
    • n
    • Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services, and support of all staff.

    • Resolve customer’s concerns efficiently and effectively.

    • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

    • Exhibit Birkey’s high level of customer service daily.
