Quality Engineer

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a high-visibility aerospace and defense program in Grand Prairie, TX . The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, solid problem-solving capabilities, and a strong background in quality management systems, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify process variations and nonconformities; analyze quality data to support innovative solutions across the supply chain.
• Support production site activities, including risk management and product validation in accordance with AS9102 standards.
• Investigate and resolve issues using root cause analysis , implementing robust containment, corrective, and preventive actions.
• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and failure diagnosis activities to support quality assurance goals.
• Review documentation and manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to customer and contractual requirements.
• Ensure contract flow-down requirements are fully understood and implemented across production and supplier interfaces.
• Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to review quality data (yields, scrap, rework, and nonconformance aging).
• Serve as a liaison between internal teams and suppliers to drive quality compliance and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering experience
• 4-6 years experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 2-4 years understanding of complex mechanical/electrical systems
• Knowledge of AS9102 and quality standards in aerospace manufacturing
• Familiar with MRB processes , documentation review, and product line validation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience in Supplier Quality and Supplier Interaction
• 2-4 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrated skills in problem-solving for manufacturability issues
• 2-4 years experience with Data Quality Analysis
• Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in aerospace or defense industries
