They are looking to hire a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer who can contribute to key projects and help support the company's long-term goals.
Job Description
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures for manufacturing metal products.
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external nonconformances.
  • Conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or any other relevant quality standards.
  • Support PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other APQP activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering on design for manufacturability and quality (DFM/DQ).
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues, documentation, and requirements.
  • Maintain calibration and inspection systems for all measuring and test equipment.
  • Lead and support internal quality training programs and initiatives.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within metals manufacturing (e.g., casting, forging, machining, stamping, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.).
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, GD&T, and using precision measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with metallurgical principles, heat treatment processes, and surface finishing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Certification (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred but not required.
