Position Summary:
TARGAN is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director, Global Marketing and Product Management to lead all facets of brand, product, and regional marketing across international markets. This role will be critical in shaping how TARGAN communicates its unique value proposition, builds global brand awareness, defines compelling product features, and drives adoption of its capital equipment platforms designed for the poultry and broader animal protein industries.
This role will focus on defining and executing integrated marketing campaigns that clearly differentiate TARGAN's solutions from competitors, articulate our advanced technology and customer value, and support high-impact product launches across North America, Latin America (LATAM), Asia-Pacific (APAC), and Europe (EU).
The successful candidate must bring deep experience in marketing and product strategy for capital equipment in the animal protein or poultry sectors and be capable of working cross-functionally to bridge technical product development with compelling market positioning. This role will also own communications with external marketing suppliers, creative agencies, and media partners to ensure TARGAN's message is aligned, localized, and impactful.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Global Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and lead a global marketing strategy aligned with TARGAN's commercial objectives and regional growth plans.
  • Tailor regional strategies for LATAM, APAC, and Europe, accounting for local market dynamics, buyer behavior, and competitive environments.
  • Increase awareness and adoption of TARGAN's capital equipment offerings through high-impact campaigns and brand-building initiatives.
  • Lead engagement and communications with marketing vendors, creative agencies, localization partners, and media outlets to ensure brand alignment and regional relevance.
Product Management
  • Fully own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from customer need identification through concept validation, specification, prototyping, testing, launch, and post-market feedback.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap aligned with market demand, competitive trends, technical feasibility, and strategic growth goals.
  • Gather voice-of-customer data and synthesize industry research to drive product decisions and feature prioritization.
  • Write and manage detailed product requirements, including performance specifications, technical parameters, and integration needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Technical teams to ensure on-time delivery of functional, customer-ready equipment.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure the user experience, form factor, and performance specifications support both usability and differentiation.
  • Drive cost/value optimization by balancing design tradeoffs with customer ROI expectations.
  • Own lifecycle planning, version management, and phase-out of obsolete or non-competitive products.
  • Ensure that all new product introductions are commercially viable and supported by launch plans, training materials, and clear messaging.
Product Marketing & Launch Execution
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for all new product launches, ensuring consistent global positioning with localized relevance.
  • Translate technical features into clear, benefit-driven messaging for customers, sales teams, and partners.
  • Create launch toolkits and marketing materials to support education, sales enablement, and distributor activation.
  • Ensure that product launches are integrated with regional marketing and sales objectives.
Brand, Messaging & Communications
  • Lead TARGAN's brand strategy and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and regions.
  • Oversee development of content including videos, brochures, case studies, white papers, trade show collateral, and social/digital content.
  • Direct global PR and media outreach in coordination with external communications partners.
  • Maintain brand governance across internal and external audiences.
Campaign Management & Competitive Differentiation
  • Design and manage multi-channel, measurable marketing campaigns that generate demand and clearly differentiate TARGAN's capital equipment solutions.
  • Analyze customer and competitor data to refine positioning and product strategy.
  • Use data and analytics to inform campaign optimization and improve marketing ROI.
Regional Market Development
  • Build regional marketing and product strategies to support commercial teams and partners in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Spain, Poland, Italy, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Vietnam.
  • Conduct market entry analysis and support localization of product features and marketing materials where needed.
  • Identify region-specific customer challenges and product gaps through field visits and customer interviews.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the senior product and marketing leader across the organization, reporting into the executive team.
  • Oversee budgeting, resourcing, and performance metrics for both marketing and product development teams.
  • Ensure tight coordination with Sales, Engineering, Regulatory, Customer Success, and Field Service to support product success in the market.
  • Support executive leadership with investor and board communications, commercial updates, and growth narratives.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Animal Science, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product development, marketing, or commercialization of capital equipment, preferably in the poultry, animal protein, or agtech industries
  • Demonstrated experience in leading full product lifecycle development from concept to market launch
  • Deep understanding of CAPEX product positioning, competitive analysis, and long-cycle B2B buying behavior
  • Proven success in building and launching globally relevant products, with particular experience in LATAM, APAC, and Europe
  • Strong vendor and agency management experience; able to lead external relationships for brand, creative, and media execution
  • Highly strategic with the ability to drive tactical execution
  • Strong technical literacy and comfort working closely with engineers and scientists
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lead diverse global teams and manage through influence
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred; additional regional languages a plus
  • Willing and able to travel internationally (~30%)

Working Conditions:
Work is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Occasional travel may be required.
