Inside Sales Representative / Customer Service Representative – Insurance
Location: Portland, ME (100% Onsite to start; hybrid after 2 weeks of training)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (slightly flexible schedule)
Pay: $24–$29 per hour
Duration: Contract-to-hire opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading health and insurance provider in Portland to hire two Inside Sales/Customer Service Representatives for their Medicare Advantage insurance program. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong customer service skills, no prior sales experience required . Past successful hires have come from call centers, labs, and other service-based roles.
You’ll be supporting a mostly senior client base, guiding them through insurance options, answering questions, and helping them enroll. Extensive training will be provided, including a classroom study program to prepare for your insurance license exam.
What You’ll Do:
- Sell and service Medicare Advantage insurance plans to eligible beneficiaries via phone, email, and in-person appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring each client feels valued and informed.
- Manage and update client information in CRM systems accurately and efficiently.
- Track and manage your sales pipeline to meet or exceed enrollment and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education preferred).
- At least 2 years of customer service experience; sales experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Licensing & Training Provided:
- State Life & Health Insurance Producer’s License (must be obtained after hire).
- Medicare Sales Training and Certification.
- Ongoing continuing education.
