The XYZ Direct Sales Account Executive will be responsible for converting qualified sales leads into revenue generating sales by analysing the needs and requirements of potential new customers. The XYZ Account Executive is seen as a product expert, reference point for best practice integration, reference point for medium sized Merchants. This is a key sales position in PayPal's expanding Australian sales team; the XYZ Account Executive will manage the whole sales cycle and sales closure to grow new business for PayPal.

Job Specification

Cold calling XYZ merchants and identifying own leads.

Achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets while maintaining a positive attitude.

Meet or exceed all published standards measured weekly, monthly and YTD.

Follow up on qualified leads turning them into sales opportunities and signing up those Merchants interested in using PayPal as a partner.

Maintain and promote a positive and professional attitude while building collaborative relationships among potential and existing customers.

Proactive independent pipeline management.

Responsible for providing revenue forecasting reports on activity

Research market trends, opportunities and competition to support sales pitch delivery

Liaise with the Merchant Support teams regarding customers that have taken up the PayPal product.

Continue training and education to keep pace with product modifications, industry changes and sales knowledge.

Participate in special projects (as required) and perform other duties as assigned to contribute to overall sales and team results

Required Standards

Self motivated and target driven

Good organisation and communication skills

Previous Sales Experience Essential.

Basic computer skills such as MS outlook and windows as well as typing skills

Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process

Ability to learn and think quickly

The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, self driven and posses a good appreciation for the internet & technology with a great blend of sales & high end customer service

Creative & problem solver; organised and multi-tasker; open to new projects and tasks.

Demonstrate commitment and engagement through (and not limited to) seeking out additional responsibilities, volunteering for special projects, leading by example and in sharing knowledge and best practices, with flexibility and adaptability

Education

Bachelor or Master Degree plus relevant work experience

Experience

A minimum of four years experience in one or more of the following areas a plus: Internet company, financial institution, payments processor or telemarketing firm.

Proven and strong outbound cold calling new business development telesales experience within a high volume targeted environment.

Experience using Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience using SalesForce.com also a plus

Excellent oral and written communication.

Fluent in English.

Proven experience working and contributing in a team environment.

Education
