What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and execute complex setups for 5th-axis mills and live tool lathes, leveraging your extensive floor experience.
  • Ensure precision machining operations meet strict quality standards for aerospace, defense, and commercial manufacturing projects.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to accurately program and operate mill-turn and live tooling equipment.
  • Collaborate with teams using ERP and MRP systems to optimize production flow and meet schedule targets.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by applying industry standards (AS9100-D, ISO9001) and lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

What You Bring:

  • At least 10 years of hands-on floor experience with complex 5-axis and live tool lathe setups.
  • Strong background in precision machining within aerospace, defense, or commercial manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • CNC programming experience is a plus, especially with 3D machining techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems for shop floor management.
  • Mill-turn machining expertise, particularly with live tooling equipment.
  • Preferred experience with Okuma and Haas VF2/VF4 machines, plus CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks, Mastercam).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a bonus.
