Technical Account Manager (TAM)

to support our customers’ spirit of innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, Security, Networking, Serverless, and more. This role is not sales-focused but offers an opportunity to be a strategic technical advisor and the ‘voice of the customer’ to National Security clients. As a TAM, you will help craft and execute strategies to promote the adoption and effective use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, CodePipeline, IoT, and others. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to represent AWS within a customer’s environment, facilitate discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management. You will provide advocacy and strategic guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively maintain your customers’ AWS environments. Building close relationships will help you understand their business and technical challenges, and assist them in maximizing value from AWS. This role requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed. The TAM is central to delivering value to our National Security customers. 2+ years of technical engineering experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting in areas such as Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, AI/ML, DevOps, Big Data, Security, or Applications Development in a distributed systems environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field, or 2 years of equivalent work experience. Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting across three or more of the listed technical areas. Experience in IT operations and support environments. Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting to decision-makers. Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud platforms, including federal/DoD clearances.
