License: ARRT registered. Certifications: Advanced certification through ARRT in MRI is required within 18 months of hire. BLS certified within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: - Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection. - Ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine. Description: Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRI technical issues and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and related equipment, prepares scan room equipment, supplies, and medications. Maintains images and archives associated with patient data. Completes other duties as assigned. Works independently and demonstrates good communication skills. Shows flexibility with schedule and shifts to support staffing plan changes. On-Call duties include weeknights and weekends in rotation with other technologists. Typically, one night and one weekend per month is expected.
