Scrubs are gray. This location does not accept travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles. General job duties include performing inpatient and outpatient studies. The majority of the work is adult echo, with required procedures including Definity and Agitated Saline. Experience in pediatric echocardiography is a plus but not necessary. This is a fast-paced, high-volume echo department. Responsibilities also include performing TEE, Exercise Stress, and Dobutamine Stress Echo, if experienced and time permits. The department utilizes EPIC, CUPID, TOM TECH Reporting, and PACS systems. All echo machines are of the Philips brand, including EPIC 7, IE33, and CX50. On-call rotation includes weekends and holidays. Department staff work from Monday to Sunday for 8 hours a day. On-call duties are required when not staffed. Staff may work alone at times. The unit has 6 echo machines and 3 rooms. Most examinations for hospital patients are completed at the bedside. Experience in adult echocardiography is essential. Flexibility is required due to the varied shift patterns. There is a potential need for coverage during evening shifts if staffing levels allow. Average daily caseload ranges from 5-8, with an average of 7 cases per day. Cancellation policy indicates that clients may cancel up to 12 hours within a 13-week period. Charting system utilized is Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR. Trauma level is 2. Care setting is acute.
