We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of developers building the next generation of Patient Portal and Payment applications. You are someone who demonstrates design & engineering excellence and has experience building full-stack web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. The Financial teams within the Patient Portal and the Payment Organization provide a comprehensive suite of tools for patients to quickly and securely pay their providers for treatments and provide insight into their past payments. Help come up with technical designs and solutions, write code to build features as part of an Agile team consisting of Engineers, a Scrum Master, a Product Owner, and an Experience Designer
Develop reliable, maintainable, scalable full stack web applications using latest technologies
Maintain, support, and enhance existing software applications using best practices
Create and maintain automated tests for software
Build and deploy applications using CI/CD tools
Contribute documentation to support design, development, and maintenance of software platform
Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop product solutions and promote productivity and effectiveness; take ownership of what the team builds and coordinate efforts to ensure proper completion
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices are followed
Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert

Required Qualifications
Ideally, 4+ years of software engineering experience with some product development expertise
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
Web application development experience with focus on the backend using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Typescript
Clear understanding of OOD/OOP fundamental concepts, design patterns, and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills. Debugging and troubleshooting skills are a must.
Proficiency with compilers, debuggers, IDEs (e.g. VS, IntelliJ, Eclipse)
Experience with REST or GraphQL API development
Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket and other source code repositories
Experience with Cloud based services such as AWS (e.g. ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3)
Experience testing application software using TDD/BDD, creation and maintenance of automated tests (e.g. JUnit, Cucumber, Playwright, Xray)
Experience in full life cycle Agile software development using Jira and Confluence
Must be detail oriented and a self-starter
Multi-tasking with good follow through skills
Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as alone to accomplish tasks without supervision
Excited if you have
Experience with leveraging AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, etc.)
Perl experience would be a bonus
Experience with Microservice architecture and development
Frontend development experience using HTML, CSS, frameworks such as React
SecDevOps skills in AWS environment (e.g. configuration mgmt, automation, security, performance monitoring, IaC, etc.)
