Embedded Software Engineer

The Embedded Software Engineer oversees the design, development, and validation of software for embedded systems, ensuring compliance with FDA requirements. They play a crucial role in software design, coding, and validation, addressing moderate scope problems, and participating in software development activities under guidance and mentoring junior engineers. Adherence to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures and proficiency in software implementation are key aspects of the role. Design, implement, and evaluate software using languages like C, C++, C#, and Python. Assist in preparing software design requirements and specifications per Abbott's design development process. Evaluate selected designs through testing and documentation, addressing moderate scope problems. Participate in software development, verification, and validation under guidance. Adhere to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures for software development. Demonstrate proficiency in software implementation. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
