Ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background and a track record of providing advanced technical support and maintaining the operational efficiency of IT systems specifically within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a customer service-oriented mindset to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and enhance user satisfaction. Required Skills Advanced technical troubleshooting: Deep understanding of IT systems: Possess in-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and networking concepts and be able to diagnose and resolve complex problems related to these areas. Advanced technical support and maintaining the operational efficiency of IT systems specifically within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and techniques: Be adept at utilizing various diagnostic and resolution tools to effectively identify the root cause of issues System administration capabilities: Be capable of performing tasks like setting up user accounts, managing access permissions, and maintaining system functionality. Network infrastructure knowledge: Understand network topologies, protocols, and devices to troubleshoot connectivity and performance problems. Software configuration expertise: Be skilled in configuring and managing various software applications. Experience with database management: Possess fundamental knowledge of database structures, queries, and troubleshooting techniques to address issues related to data storage and retrieval. System Maintenance and Configuration: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and network configurations to ensure optimal performance and security within the manufacturing environment. Configure and install various computer and Windows servers, integrating new hardware and applications under the supervision of a senior engineer if needed. Deploy and configure hardware, including workstations, monitors, and peripherals. Support IT security measures and protocols, including antivirus updates and patch management. Advanced Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software problems, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), manufacturing-specific applications (ERP, MES, WMS), and network connectivity issues. INFOR a plus Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence, documenting all steps taken. Handle escalated technical issues from Tier 1 support, providing in-depth analysis and resolution. Provide remote and potentially on-site support for manufacturing equipment, workstations, servers, and other IT devices.
