This position is part of the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, Department of Energy. As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (CYBERMGT), you will serve as a recognized expert IT Cybersecurity Program Manager, acknowledged by peers and managers throughout DOE as a cybersecurity authority who provides independent authoritative cybersecurity guidance, management services, advice, and recommendations to DOE leadership.
Duties
As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (CYBERMGT), you will: Requirements
You must be a U.S. Citizen or National. This employer participates in the e-Verify program. If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt under the law. See
www.sss.gov . If selected, your appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a background investigation. If selected, you may be required to complete a one-year probationary period. This position does not support 100% remote work; you will be required to report physically to the official worksite. Situational telework may be approved. This position is designated as Special-Sensitive (High Risk) and requires a security clearance at the "Q" level. You must obtain and maintain this clearance; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service. Additionally, if selected, you will need to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance prior to duty. Failure to do so may result in separation from federal service. You must successfully complete an initial CI evaluation and ongoing assessments, which may include a CI-scope polygraph examination. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Failure to test or a positive result may lead to removal from federal employment. You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450) upon entering the position and annually thereafter, in accordance with 5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I. This position is not included in a Bargaining Unit. Hiring incentives may be available for highly qualified candidates, subject to budget and regulations. This is a non-remote position; the selected candidate will report to the specified duty station(s). Military spouses, veteran caregivers, and spouses of foreign service employees may be eligible for workplace flexibilities.
