Job Description: This job is responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets to uncover potential revenue generation opportunities and develop effective risk management strategies. Key responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders to comprehend business problems, utilizing data gathering and analysis techniques to devise solutions, and presenting recommendations based on the findings. Responsibilities: Performs business analytics, which includes data analysis, trend identification, and pattern recognition, using advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning, text mining, statistical analysis, etc.) to support decision-making and drive data-driven insights Applies agile practices for project management, solution development, deployment, and maintenance Creates and maintains technical documentation, capturing the business requirements and specifications related to the developed analytical solution and its implementation in production Manages multiple priorities and maintains quality and timeliness of work deliverables such as quantitative models, data science products, data analysis reports, or data visualizations, while exhibiting the ability to work independently and in a team environment Delivers engaging presentations and engages in both in-person and virtual conversations that effectively communicate technical concepts and analysis results to a diverse set of internal stakeholders, and develops professional relationships to foster collaboration on work deliverables Mitigates risk by identifying potential issues and developing controls Researches the latest advances in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence to support business analytics This Data Scientist I role will be a part of the ECATS Analytics, AI, and Innovation team which is responsible for assessing, designing, building, managing, and maintaining Artificial Intelligence Solutions for our Enterprise Credit and Banking teams. The role will be focused on data discovery, Artificial Intelligence(AI), Machine Learning(ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) efforts. Responsibilities include model/process development and assisting with AI/ML/NLP projects. The Data Scientist I will perform impact assessments and data analysis, support prioritization and reporting of AI/ML/NLP projects, and engage with business and technical stakeholders. The scope of work includes assessing business cases, designing technical solutions and defining how data is managed or transformed and sourced across multiple upstream lines of business and within the Enterprise Credit data infrastructure. The primary requirement is to create sophisticated, value-added analytics and solutions that support revenue generation, risk management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio management, and research. Traditional systems analysis skills are a plus. Required Qualifications: • 2+ years of work experience in Analytics (Data or Business), Data Science, or related field. • Proven ability in learning and strong programming (Python, SQL) skills. • Strong interest in using data for business insight and experience in building and deploying models. • Strong desire to learn and willingness to acquire needed knowledge and skills. • Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on completion of high-profile projects or initiatives. • Positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, strong work ethic, and demonstrated personal initiative. • Organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across multiple levels and organizations, aligning technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. • Able to identify and remediate risks in a timely manner. • Able to navigate the enterprise / source information across multiple functions. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • General knowledge of bank financial practices and policies. Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Quantitative Theory and Methods, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Science, Economics, Econometrics, Operational Research, Mathematics joint Political Science, or other similar quantitative discipline. Equivalent work experience with a non-quantitative degree with sufficient proof of Python/SQL/Mathematical knowledge. • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other similar quantitative discipline. • 2-4 years of work experience in Analytics (Data or Business) or related field. • Natural Language Processing (NLP) experience building and implementing a project/model/application from scratch. • Experience using Python packages such as: pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, spaCy, NLTK, PyTorch, TensorFlow or other advanced scientific/ML/NLP Python packages

Pay Transparency details US - NY - New York - ONE BRYANT PARK - BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100) Pay and benefits information Pay range $108,000.00 - $175,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
