The PACU is seeking an experienced administrative professional for a highly visible role within our prestigious Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The PACU at MGH is comprised of 6 critical care areas dedicated to adult and pediatric patients before and after surgery requiring anesthesia. The unit operates 24/7 with Anesthesia and Nurse Practitioner medical coverage. What do we have to Offer? Medical, Dental and Vision insurance. Tuition Reimbursement. Job Summary Provides administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff in an inpatient setting, acting as a liaison between patients, visitors, and clinicians. Responsibilities include organizing priorities, managing confidential patient information, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring excellent customer service. Duties may vary by department. Does this position require Patient Care? Essential functions include clerical duties, greeting and interacting with patients and visitors professionally, managing information, scheduling appointments, entering data into electronic medical records, coordinating with ancillary services, and assisting with staff scheduling or supervision. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred. Medical or healthcare experience desirable, but training available for qualified candidates. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with diverse groups. Ability to solve basic patient and practice problems. Only candidates meeting all requirements will be considered.
