DUTIES :
Wellmark Inc. seeks a Lead Remedy Software Engineer based out of our office at 1331 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Lead BMC Remedy Helix ITSM system development and engineering for highly complex programs, including analysis, design, and integration. Provide ITIL best practices to support strategic discussion and direction in evolving the Service Catalog, CMDB, Asset, Incident, Problem, Change, Service Level, Knowledge, and Request Management design, workflow, implementation, and overall best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert in the implementation of innovative, cost-effective business solutions for multiple platforms, utilizing information technology, business, and industry trends. Provide leadership, training, and guidance to team members in gathering information, conducting root cause analysis, problem definition, solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization. Ensure analysis of defects to identify root causes and guide others in identifying potential improvements. Mentor, guide, and collaborate with other technology areas in designing, developing, and implementing solutions, including leveraging new or enhanced software/applications. Coordinate with company resources to integrate products and processes and deliver complex solutions. Provide timely, accurate results and exceptional customer service. Utilize established relationships with Wellmark leaders and act as a primary consultant on business status, issues, process improvements, and technology enhancements. Participate in project proposals, estimates, and proof-of-concept activities as needed. Maintain awareness of industry best practices and standards, and proactively participate in industry and knowledge reference groups. Provide direction for enterprise standards. Conduct code reviews and monitor adherence to standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 96 months of experience in the job offered or related roles, including: 8 years of experience with Remedy Helix ITSM Software Management Suite 8 years of experience with design and development using HTML, XML, SOAP, LDAP, MSSQL 8 years of experience with Developer Studio developing workflows with Filters, Escalations, Active links, Menus, Groups, and Flashboards Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies Experience gathering information, conducting research for root cause analysis, problem definition, solution recommendation, verification, and ongoing optimization, supported by data and best practices OTHER :
