As an Investment Consultant (IC) at Schwab, you have the opportunity to learn and grow within our Branch Network at the ground floor. The IC role is the first step towards becoming a Financial Consultant (FC) at Schwab, providing the exposure and experience needed to advance in this challenging space. You’ll learn how to build a book of business through proactive outbound calls to existing Schwab clients, uncovering opportunities through needs-based analysis, and recommending appropriate products and solutions. You’ll observe skilled FCs and learn how to deliver exceptional value and service through collaboration and mentoring. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities. What you have We value high performance, quality service, and the ability to execute the Schwab strategy. Essential skills include: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience A valid and active Series 7 license required A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license required (may be obtained within 120 days of employment) A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license required (may be obtained within 120 days of employment) Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is preferred Minimum of two years of experience in the financial services industry Experience in financial business development (highly preferred) Knowledge of brokerage and banking products and services Strong client relationship building experience Pursuant to SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the NMLS registry system and remain in good standing. You will be required to register and submit to the SAFE Act background check and registration process.
