Position Overview
The Lead Installer is responsible for serving as the primary contact person for the assigned in-house installation crew and managing work processes at the job sites. The Lead Installer works with the install team to remove existing windows and doors and install new Pella windows and doors in residential applications. They are also responsible for performing order verifications as required by the business and acting as a liaison to sub-contracted installation teams. The Lead Installer will be involved in recovery projects and strives to inspire others to achieve and maintain 100% customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Coordinate and verify installation schedules with Project Coordinator and/or Installation Supervisor.
Direct work processes at the job sites.
Identify work procedures, materials, tools, and work aids from work orders.
Install windows and doors according to Pella Corporation's guidelines and quality standards.
Test product operations and demonstrate product use to customers.
Ensure the job site is clean and tidy after installation.
Communicate effectively with customers and represent Pella Mid-Atlantic professionally.
Train customers on new windows and contact Pella Mid-Atlantic service if needed.
Ensure customer completes the Certificate of Completion and collects outstanding balances.
Commit to high-quality work standards.
Perform order verifications and site inspections of subcontractors as needed.
Perform recovery work as required.
Manage product/material returns and ensure warehouse scans are completed.
Maintain and store tools properly.
Follow safety procedures, keep work areas safe, and wear required safety gear.
Possess a valid driver’s license and comply with the Fleet Safety Policy.
Skills/Knowledge
AA or technical degree preferred; High School Diploma with experience acceptable.
4-5 years of construction experience, including project leadership.
Knowledge of construction and window/door applications is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/order processing software.
Ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Adaptability to work environment changes and safety compliance.
Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
