Our next General Manager will lead the business development, daily operations and strategic direction for our passionate team running two radio stations in a growing college town north of Houston. This role includes direct sales, managing political advertising, hiring and coaching while leading sales and technical teams to ensure consistent station performance and delivering results. Key responsibilities include generating new revenue sources and ensuring compliance with broadcasting laws and industry regulations. We’re looking for someone with strong sales, leadership and organizational skills, along with a thorough understanding of the radio industry and its evolving landscape. In addition to managerial duties, the role requires finding new customers, familiarity with the technical aspects of broadcasting, including audio production, equipment operations, and FCC rules and regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering relationships with employees, advertisers, media partners, and other stakeholders. The Radio Station General Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the station’s vision and ensuring its smooth, efficient, and high-quality operation. General Manager Qualifications & Skills Experience:Significant sales experience, preferably within the broadcast industry, and sales management experience. Skills:Strong business development, leadership, communication, financial management, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
