Our client, a prestigious University in Boston, is in need of a contract
Financial Reporting Analyst
to: Prepare monthly reporting, business analysis and key data summaries. Assist in the budget and forecasting process. Conduct periodic analysis of business performance. Other duties and tasks may include: Assist with monthly forecasting for operating and restricted accounts. Update and maintain financial dashboards and budget tracking tools. Support the review and reconciliation of transactional data. Generate journal entries and assist with documentation for internal fund transfers. Collaborate with department leads to track discretionary spending and ensure alignment. with approved budgets. Monitor commitments as needed. Support data entry, reporting, and cleanup within financial systems (e.g., SAP, Excel models, Power BI). Help prepare materials for financial reviews. Provide backup support for Concur invoice processing. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as assigned. This is a full-time (37.5 – 40 hrs weekly), long term (8-9 months) hybrid position, with 3-4 days on campus – after training – and the remaining days working remotely. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 3+ years of relevant experience preferred (higher ed experience a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) Experience with financial systems (SAP, Power BI, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
