HBITS-07-14216 Day-to-day tasks: The selected candidate will be a lead developer for the Tax Modernization effort and will support maintenance activities. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Gather requirements and create detailed system documentation to develop automated applications that meet business priorities. Provide lead programming duties for tax-related applications and mentor staff using technologies such as J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC. Assist and guide through all phases of the project management life cycle. Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications, and conduct testing and debugging. Coordinate migration of code changes from development to user test environment. Assist team members with distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery, ensuring proper training and mentoring. Support defect resolution and issue management, addressing issues promptly based on priority. Participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers, communicating effectively with management and users. Software Architect Requirements: 84+ months experience guiding large teams or extensive industry experience, considered a top expert in the field. 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP, and XML. 84 months experience developing Java EE applications using modern IDEs like Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ. 60 months experience with J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts and application servers like Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic. 60 months experience writing SQL for relational databases. 60 months experience manipulating and displaying JSON data. 36 months experience with messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, or Kafka. 60 months experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
