We specialize in quickly acquiring and efficiently matching top-tier professional talent with clients in immediate need of highly skilled contract, permanent or project management based resources. “NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work onsite, based on the client’s specified hybrid work schedule (currently onsite 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).” Accessibility Test Engineer Sunnyvale, CA Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience ReactJS At least 1 year Nice To Have Accessibility At least 1 year ARIA Accessibility At least 1 year Is Required Accessibility (Keyboard/VoiceOver) At least 1 year Is Required Accessibility Testing At least 1 year Is Required - Day-to-day work, the Consultant will be embedded in project team work. (Conduct design reviews, set engineering requirements, code accessibility solutions, and occasionally validate web experiences). - The Consultant will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, quality testers, and engineering teams. - A significant portion of the Consultant's time will involve working closely with project team members like designers and engineers to ensure accessibility requirements are met. This will include suggesting design changes and coding engineering solutions yourself. - The Consultant expertise will be essential in upholding the company's core value of accessibility and inclusion, and to help mitigate legal risks. - This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our client's ongoing efforts to make their e-commerce website accessible to everyone. Requirements - Identify accessibility issues in design mockups and propose improved interactions - Prototype accessible web experiences to demonstrate behavior and expectations to engineers and designers - Collaborate with cross-functional project teams including design, business, engineering, QA, analytics, and SEO - Propose and work on innovative engineering solutions that prevent, mitigate, or create novel solutions to accessibility problems - Communicate problems and solutions to technical and non-technical people - Prepare and deliver keynote presentations to teach engineers, designers, and copywriters about accessibility concepts - Working knowledge of the ARIA 1.2 specification - Working knowledge of the WCAG 2.2 specification - Familiarity using accessibility features such as: VoiceOver, Hover Text, Switch Control, Voice Control, Invert Colors, Speak Screen, and Reduce Motion - Familiar working with React - Familiar working with git Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA, ARIA). • Experience working in large-scale or enterprise-level environments with a focus on product accessibility. • Familiarity with mobile accessibility (iOS and Android) and Human Interface Guidelines.
