Our 200+ bed hospital is looking for a qualified Medical Technologist to join the team in a full-time, permanent position. Multiple shifts available.The Lead Medical Technologist oversees and performs advanced laboratory tests that play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This role leads various laboratory disciplines such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and urinalysis, ensuring high-quality standards are met across all areas. The Lead Medical Technologist is responsible for supervising laboratory operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring the maintenance and proper functioning of sophisticated laboratory equipment. Strong leadership, exceptional analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential in this position.Job Requirements Licenses and Certifications Must hold or be eligible for certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT). If certification is not obtained upon hire, it must be completed within 12 months. Must possess or be eligible for ND State license or ND Provisional Permit. Those hired with a provisional permit must acquire the state license within 12 months. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology. Official diploma or transcript from the accredited institution granting the degree. Experience Requirements Clinical internship is required. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is strongly preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience in a laboratory environment is highly preferred. Skills and Training Advanced technical knowledge and proficiency in laboratory techniques across multiple disciplines. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and mentor laboratory staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards.
