Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a stable insurance brokerage that is looking for an Employee Benefits Account Executive in the Massachusetts territory. This client has been around for almost 150 years, is owned by a Trust, and has the reputation of being one of the Best Places to Work in its respective territories.
Position Summary :
This role is responsible for obtaining new business. The Account Executive supports clients as the primary contact and provider of day-to-day service, meeting service and delivery standards for assigned clients. The position involves account management from carrier & vendor application through renewal, marketing all renewals, and providing guidance to Client Service Administrators and support to Producers. The Account Executive uses discretion and judgment in determining coverage needs for clients and in negotiations with carriers and clients.
Job Functions :
Markets renewals on a timely basis, along with the Client Service Administrator, by communicating with clients and carriers during the renewal process. Communicates with Producers as needed to secure suitable, competitive coverage for clients.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
Responds promptly to client inquiries by initiating changes, providing coverage information and documentation, and handling requests to maintain accounts, including cancellations.
Provides support to clients regarding technology, HR, and compliance issues.
Supports clients during open enrollment meetings as requested.
Develops and presents information to clients/employees as required.
Maintains relationships with carriers and monitors market trends for new products.
Provides referrals to other departments as needed.
Works with P&C producers to expand client coverage to Employee Benefits.
Negotiates renewals to secure the best coverage for clients.
Serves as a technical resource for Client Service Administrators.
Maintains knowledge of company policies, policy provisions, and legal changes.
Participates in or leads special projects and training as requested by management.
Performs all responsibilities outlined in the Professional Procedure Manual.

Education and Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Expertise in Employee Benefits, Life Coverage, and Underwriting.
Minimum of 3 years experience with Employee Benefits coverages.
Carrier or broker experience preferred.
Life Producers license required.
