Accounts Payable Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rosemont, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing accounts payable processes with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: Process and verify invoices by ensuring accurate coding and adherence to company policies. Manage accounts payable workflows, including payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs. Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve payment issues in a timely manner. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper account coding and approval processes. Prepare reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities as needed. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by providing accurate documentation. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company guidelines in all payable processes. Assist in improving automation and efficiency within the accounts payable system. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. Strong knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing, including ACH and check runs. Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for accounts payable management. Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume transactions. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $32.00 per hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
