The Role You’ll Play: In this role, you will utilize your legal expertise to support various teams across the organization, providing strategic legal guidance that balances compliance, risk, and business objectives. In this role, you will report directly to the General Counsel and be an essential member of a small and growing legal team. This role demands a strategic thinker who can provide insightful legal counsel while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of drafting and negotiating sophisticated and complex SaaS agreements related to technology licensing, data privacy, and commercial transactions with customers, partners, and vendors. Your Main Responsibilities : Collaborate cross-functionally
to provide legal insights and support that align with the company’s strategic goals Advise on, draft, negotiate, and manage
a wide range of commercial agreements, including complex commercial agreements with partners, customers, and vendors to ensure alignment with company objectives and drive revenue growth Optimize legal operations
by developing streamlined processes, implementing efficient contract management systems, and establishing clear legal frameworks Provide legal counsel
and partner with Product, Security, and Data Science teams to drive product innovation forward while mitigating and managing risk Assist in developing and implementing
data privacy policies and procedures for risk management and global data privacy laws Stay current with legal developments
in emerging areas (e.g., SaaS, software development, AI regulations, IP) and provide proactive guidance to mitigate risks What you bring to the table: J.D. degree and membership in a state bar with good standing At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, including as in-house counsel, with a strong preference for experience in SaaS environments Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide variety of commercial agreements Experience working with IronClad, playbooks and AI tools is strongly preferred Strong understanding of contract law and negotiation Strong background in key legal areas, including commercial SaaS transactions, AI, and regulatory and compliance matters Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal issues to diverse audiences Demonstrated business judgment and practical approach to balancing legal risks with strategic business goals in a fast-paced environment Experience with legal operations or project management, including optimizing legal processes and managing relationships with outside counsel A proactive, resourceful attitude, with the ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks and projects simultaneously Preference for candidates with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams Please note this is a US-based role. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.
