Job Description

The Self-Perform Work and EIG Electrical Insurance Coordinator (SPW IC) will work closely with all members of the SPW and EIG project teams, risk/contracting teams, safety, vConstruct, DPR ICs and DPR national insurance team. The SPW IC is responsible for the routine coordination of the project’s insurance requirements and compilation of all required documents to ensure compliance, including but not limited to prime contract, trade partner and vendor insurance compliance. The SPW IC will be SPW and EIG Electricals’ insurance expert in insurance and surety, and have demonstrated experience working with, interpreting, and applying the following insurance lines/concepts in the construction industry. General Liability Pollution Liability Worker’s Compensation Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) Automobile Liability Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP) Professional Liability Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) Builders Risk program Additional Insured Endorsements Primary and non-contributory Endorsements Waivers of Subrogation Subcontractor bonding DPR bonding requirements Small project insurance program Insurance certificate requests Insurance claims process Responsibilities:

Confirm with DPR Insurance Coordinator that contract language has been reviewed by Risk Management and/or regional broker to identify project-specific risks Understand the terms of the Prime Contract and pass through provisions Assist project teams with obtaining project-specific insurance/surety quotes as needed Request certificates of insurance for Owner per Prime contract requirements and proof-read for accuracy Track Builder’s Risk coverage for projects (DPR or Owner provided) Assist with Subcontract Default Insurance Program enrollment and administration Generate Attachment 3 and Attachment A – Insurance Requirements for Project Teams Provide required Additional Insured parties to project team before subcontracts are written Assist vConstruct COI Team with trade partner insurance compliance Manage escalations of insurance compliance issues Manage insurance compliance for all Purchase Orders and supply agreements Maintain Project Log for S Jobs and EIG Electrical Deliver or arrange training to construction teams on insurance topics Assist with OCIP/CCIP enrollment and compliance Develop and maintain Subject Matter Expert knowledge in insurance Maintain Continued Education requirements for certifications Participate in DPR monthly insurance practices and National insurance team meetings Coordinate with other DPR Insurance Coordinators to maintain consistent practices Qualifications:

Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification Ability to identify and resolve complex issues Comfortable asking for feedback and guidance Exhibits urgency and critical thinking skills Flexible in day-to-day tasks Excellent listening and communication skills Ability to create and support team morale Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Commercial construction industry experience preferred CMiC experience is a plus Strong work ethic and 'can-do' attitude Non-exempt position Applicants: In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Salary is just one component of DPR's total compensation package. California Pay Range: $30.48 to $67.92 per hour.
