The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. This role ensures accuracy and compliance in all accounting activities, including maintaining and balancing accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. The position will manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Strong Excel skills are essential for data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries for day-to-day transactions and month-end close.
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS principles.
Reconcile intercompany and general ledger accounts.
Maintain organized electronic records for vendor payments, customer receipts, and other supporting documentation.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Produce accurate weekly and monthly financial reports and present results to management.
Collaborate with colleagues and management in a courteous and professional manner.
Partner with the finance and accounting team to improve financial procedures and processes.
Utilize advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data analysis) to streamline reporting and analysis.
Complete ad hoc projects aligned with department goals and objectives.
Assist with additional administrative and accounting functions as required.
Job Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Accounting or higher; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas.
Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
