Senior Advisor - Major Gifts (Philanthropic) . This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-net-worth donors and secure major gifts that advance our mission. As a Senior Advisor Philanthropic, you will lead our philanthropic efforts by cultivating relationships, soliciting major gifts, and stewarding complex donations. Your strategic approach will help us meet revenue goals and make a real difference in the lives of children battling life-threatening diseases. Key Responsibilities:

Build Meaningful Relationships:

Use your fundraising expertise and interpersonal skills to establish genuine connections with donors, their families, and advisors from diverse backgrounds. Focus on soliciting significant gifts of $25,000+ and emphasize gifts of $100,000+. Manage a Dynamic Portfolio:

Oversee at least 150 key individual donors. Conduct personal visits and maintain critical contacts, especially with multicultural high-wealth donors within your territory. Leverage Technology:

Use donor management software to capture details that inform strategies. Keep meticulous records, complete reports, and plan trips to maximize engagement. Strategic Planning:

Analyze your donor portfolio to optimize trip planning and time management, aiming to exceed contact and solicitation goals. Financial Responsibility:

Handle donations responsibly, ensuring compliance with ALSAC policies and the Gift Acceptance Policy manual. Stay Informed:

Keep updated on tax laws affecting charitable giving and maintain knowledge of funding opportunities for diverse donors. Follow-up and Gift Planning:

Support prospects and donors through the gift planning process, preparing proposals and contracts. Continuous Learning:

Attend meetings and events, including some evenings and weekends, to foster growth. Be willing to travel outside your territory to support colleagues and national activities. Collaboration:

Communicate openly with leadership and support teams. Collaborate across divisions to enhance the donor experience, including community presentations and events. Effective Communication:

Demonstrate strong communication skills, stay current with industry trends, and represent ALSAC/St. Jude’s with pride. Qualifications:

Knowledge of development practices or successful experience managing and closing gift prospects. Ability to build authentic relationships with high-net-worth individuals and diverse backgrounds. Strong planning, organizational, and management skills in a complex environment. Exceptional communication skills, including a commitment to diversity and inclusion. At least 6 years of major gift/sales experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in interpersonal, phone, and virtual communication tools. Ability to understand complex instructions and work with data applications. Travel Commitments:

Local travel within the New England area to meet donors, attend events, and engage in community activities. Occasional national, weekend, and evening travel. Work Location:

Remote within Greater Boston, MA. Occasional visits to the Boston office and periodic travel to Memphis, TN (4–6 trips/year). Driver's License:
